PRIME PRACTICE
PRIME EVENTS
Practice in a shared field.
Practice can begin alone. In relationship, another dimension of experience becomes perceptible.
Prime Events create spaces in which practice moves beyond individual experience. Through presence, interaction, and shared attention, patterns that may remain unnoticed in individual practice become visible.
Retreats
Extended periods of immersion, practice, and direct experience.
Workshops
Focused exploration of specific aspects of Prime Practice.
Come Together
Shared spaces for practice, exchange, and presence.
Upcoming Retreat
PRIME TIME
The Principle of Recognition
24 April – 01 May 2027 | Bab Zouina, Marrakech, Morocco
The retreat will be conducted primarily in English.
PRIME TIME is a seven-day retreat devoted to the direct experience of consciousness beyond the structures through which we usually perceive ourselves and reality. We begin with what is already present: breath, body, movement, stillness, and attention. Through meditation, Prime Breath, Prime Kundalini, movement, and periods of silence, the structures of habitual perception can become quieter and more transparent.
Practice does not create coherence. It reveals what interrupts it. As unnecessary effort subsides, perception becomes clearer. Identification with the patterns through which experience is usually interpreted begins to loosen. What has been understood conceptually can begin to be experienced directly.
This is the principle of recognition. Not becoming something else. Not reaching another state. Recognizing what is already present. PRIME TIME offers a space in which this recognition can move from understanding into direct experience—and from experience into the way we live.
The Place—Bab Zouina, Ourika Valley near Marrakech
Hidden in the Ourika Valley at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, Bab Zouina offers an environment of stillness, openness, and natural simplicity. Built in the traditional Moroccan architectural style and surrounded by olive trees, gardens, and open sky, the retreat center follows the natural rhythm of its surroundings. Warm earthen tones, hand-carved wood, quiet courtyards, and the wide horizon of the Atlas Mountains create an atmosphere in which attention can settle and practice can deepen.
The yoga spaces, gardens, pool, hammam, and surrounding landscape allow periods of practice and silence to alternate naturally with rest, movement, and shared experience.
For PRIME TIME, the environment of Bab Zouina is an integral part of the retreat experience. The simplicity and spaciousness of the environment support the orientation of the practice: less distraction, less unnecessary activity, and greater presence with what is already here.
Accommodation & Facilities
Accommodation at Bab Zouina is available in single, twin, and triple rooms, with private or shared bathrooms. Towels are provided.
Across the spacious grounds, ecologically designed buildings inspired by traditional Moroccan earthen architecture are integrated into gardens of olive trees, lavender, and roses. Natural materials, soft light, and open spaces create an environment that supports both retreat and shared experience.
Bab Zouina offers a range of spaces for practice, rest, and time outdoors:
-
Yoga & Meditation Shala—A fully equipped practice space and rooftop terrace overlooking the Atlas Mountains. Mats, blocks, ropes, blankets, and Iyengar chairs are available.
-
Gardens—Olive trees, lavender, roses, stone paths, and quiet spaces throughout the grounds offer room for walking, contemplation, and rest.
-
Pool, Pétanque & Tennis—A swimming pool, pétanque area, and clay tennis court are available during free time. Participants using the tennis court should bring their own racket and appropriate shoes.
-
Fire Pit & Lounging Areas—Moroccan lounges and an outdoor fire pit provide spaces for rest, conversation, and shared evenings.
- Well-being—Hammam, oil massages, and shiatsu treatments are available as optional services.
The environment remains intentionally simple: practice, nature, stillness, movement, and time.
